Delivery Policy

A Chef’s Best Friend LLC – Virginia Beach, VA

1. Delivery Areas

We currently provide hand delivery for local customers in the Coastal Virginia region, including Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Norfolk, Suffolk, Hampton, Newport News and Portsmouth.

 

Shipping is not currently available

2. Processing and Delivery Times

  • Orders are made fresh to order and processed within 3 business days after payment.

  • Local deliveries are scheduled on specific delivery days and communicated via email or text in advance.

3. Delivery Conditions

To maintain quality and safety:

  • Cooler Bag must be left on the porch or in an easily accessible area. Owner is required to provide any codes or special instructions that the property requires.

  • Customer must leave cooler bag outside to receive delivery. If no bag/cooler is left, then a $10.00 charge will automatically be billed.

  • For apartments and condos, customer must specify a specific place to leave product. Risk is assumed by customer, replacement deliveries will not be made. 

  • Someone should be available to bring the package inside promptly upon arrival.

  • Order will arrive frozen with ice and should will be able to maintain temperature for about 2-4 hours. 

  • Food will be packed in insulated containers and to preserve freshness for several hours after delivery.

  • We are not responsible for spoilage due to delayed retrieval or incorrect shipping information provided by the customer.

4. Shipping Fees

  • Delivery is included in local subscription price. 

5. Delivery Issues

  • A Chef's Best Friend will make every attempt to deliver on scheduled delivery date/time window. Should an order be delayed, we will reach out to the owner to schedule an alternate delivery 

  • If your order is delayed, damaged, or missing, please contact us within 72 hours of expected delivery at chefsbestfriendpetfood@gmail.com or text 757-453-3257

  • We’ll investigate promptly and make it right as appropriate.

6. Subscription Deliveries

For subscribers:

  • You can pause or skip a delivery week up to 72 hours before your next billing cycle. 

  • Changes can be made through your account dashboard or by contacting customer service.
